A complete file from the outset shortens back-and-forth and projects a serious image. Here is the logical order.
Step 1 — Clarify the project
Note in one sentence the loan purpose, exact amount and date you need it. Without that sentence, no advisor can properly direct your file.
Step 2 — Calculate your capacity
Sort your current fixed expenses and check that the intended instalment respects the 33% rule. Use our simulator to test different durations.
Step 3 — Gather the documents
- Valid identity document.
- Proof of address less than three months old.
- Three last payslips (or two last balance sheets for the self-employed).
- Three last complete bank statements.
- Where relevant, amortisation schedule of ongoing loans.
Step 4 — Anticipate questions
The advisor will likely ask: what is the exact nature of the project? How did you choose the duration? Are other funding sources available? Preparing these answers in writing saves time.
A well-organised file is processed within 24 hours. An incomplete file can take a week — not because we're slow, but because each round-trip adds delay.
Step 5 — Choose the right channel
Email is most efficient: the advisor archives your file and can consult it anytime. A phone call is useful to clarify a point, not to transmit documents.
